Taxi ride from Cosmo to Caesars.....is it crazy?

Will i incur a dirty look (or perhaps a hearty laugh) if I take a taxi such a short distance? Have to go to Caesars during the daytime summer heat and really don't want to hoof it even though I know it's not that far....thanks for any thoughts!

You really don't need to walk outside - you can exit Cosmo, take the moving walkway up to Bellagio, walk inside B to the exit by Caesars. It won't take very long.

But if you really want to take a cab, just do it. That cab driver doesn't know you so who cares if he laughs or gives you a dirty look? You get to do whatever you want on vacation! :)

Unless you have mobility problems i would say lazy over crazy. 15 minute walk max, i would do it in 8.

Whenever I take a short cab ride, I always tip at least $4-5. Most of the time those cabbies have to wait in line at a hotel just to make it to the taxi stand, It soothes my conscience.

Summer heat in Vegas during the day is no joke. I don't even like to venture outside of the air-conditioned casino when it's 110F+ outside, lol.

Your money, your choice. I once took a cab from Aria to Paris because my long day of excess caught up with me all at once. Do I feel slightly ashamed that I took a cab to a place I can see, right across the street? Yep. Would I do it again if I had to? Yep. When you hit the wall, it's over. If avoiding walking outside will conserve your energy--then do it.

Since you can walk most of the way indoors, it's kinda silly to cab it. I can understand it if there are mobility issues or if you are falling down drunk. But if you can't figure out how to walk through the hotels in the summer to stay in the AC, you will be broke pretty quick!

Legally, the cab driver has to take you where you want to go. So, if you really feel the need to take the cab- just do it. Just be very generous with your tip. If you get a dirty look- so be it. It is not your job to keep the cab drivers in Vegas happy!

No problem. I have done Bellagio to Mirage by taxi & limo. Next trip I will do PH to Bellagio (with luggage though). We usually walk but sometimes it's just too hot or not the best start to an evening out.
