My booking just reduced in price, WWYD

I constantly check the price of my bookings and have just realised that my current booking at the Orleans could be $20 cheaper of I cancel and rebook. I have contacted them to change the price but I was wondering how little would the difference have to be before you asked them to change it?

Why pay anything if you don't have to?

I had to pay for Saturday night at Orleans a few weeks ago. It was not one of the cheaper Saturdays. so even casino rate was $96. Even when I am only paying for 1 night I still keep checking rates, and one day the rate went down to $84 (it went right back up the next day). So I called and had the rate lowered $12, and of course the clerk was friendly and happy to make the change.

If $20 (or $12) is that much of a concern, perhaps a trip to Las Vegas would be better off postponed...

It's not that it is of concern to the OP. But why pay 20 bucks more for the same room when you can get it for less? If you rang up your groceries at the store and had the choice of paying 100 bucks, or making a quick phone call and paying 80, wouldn't you make the call? Even if you had the 100 in hand to pay already?

I would rather have the $12.00 or $20.00 in MY pocket instead of theirs.

For me, I've got to save $20 in order for me to call and get the cheaper rate. OK, maybe $15, lol.

It has nothing to do with the $12. I have gladly passed on comp rooms to pay for rooms at almost all of Las Vegas best hotels. It has to do with value.

bh, a savings is a savings. It is up to you in the end. It does not hurt to ask for the reduced rate. Many people on here change their bookings. And quite frankly you have the right go to Vegas no matter what your budget calls for. Nothing wrong with trying to save a few bucks. There are many budget travelers on the forum.
