$5 Blackjack

Are there any $5 blackjack tables on the strip anymore? Are $10 tables hard to find. I don't want to go downtown.

There are still $5 tables at the less expensive casinos like Imperial Palace, Circus Circus, etc. You will get a lower amount during weekdays. I have never stayed at the fancy places but they probably have at least $25 tables. Stick to the cheapo's. In fact there's a website called cheapovegas.com that keeps up on ALL that stuff it's a great reference.

I've neer seen $5, have seen a couple $10 early in the am day, Mostly $15- and by 5? mostly $25. Palazzo, Venetian, Bellagio, Wynn would be the ones I can speak to.

You can find $5 tables at Monte Carlo and Tropicana sometimes, and I believe that Bellagio always has at least one handicap table that is $5.

If you are serious about playing blackjack, I would recommend that you move up to the $10 tables, since the rules are usually more favorable. Stick with the MGM properties and stay away from the CET properties.

Lots of $5 tables around. Most are paying 6:5 on blackjack !! With other lousy rules.

Thanks for all the info. Why should I stay away from the CET properties? These are the Harrahs hotels?

ani...The reason you should stay away from the CET properties is because most of their lower limit tables pay 6:5 and have lousy rules. To get the 3:2 payout and better rules, you will need to go to the $25 and up tables, and sometimes even these are hard to find.

(CET Properties are the Harrah's hotels)

I always here this about the 5.00 table question and the reply is always about the lousy rules, well it doesn't matter how peachy the 25.00 table's rule is if you have a hundred bucks to gamble for the day and you lose 4 hands in a row.

People want 5.00 tables so they can gamble longer for less of a loss, not to maximize their wins on the occasional black jack.

Last time we were there, which was a while ago I might add. O'Shea's and Casino Royale had $5 tables. I believe O'Sheas was even Double Deck. So if you don't want to go downtown, you have a few options.

Downtown has lots of $5 tables in most Casinos.

I agree with OpusXO in most people searching out $5 tables are there to enjoy themselves without losing too much. I personally search out the $5 tables to drink. I'm looking for the least expensive table with the best service.

The other thing that should be mentioned is expect to wait for a seat. These tables are usually very busy because there very few of them. Be patient and watch the game while you wait. Hit up the bar at Casino Royale for a $1 beer for your wait.

We'll be there in March and I haven't been since 2009, so I am looking forward to see if it is still like this.
