Your question gives No info whatsoever as to what your looking for, more info is needed to be helped.

When is your Birthday?

When are you coming?

Will you have a rental?

How much you willing to spend on a nice Hotel versus a dump?

You want to be near all the action on the strip?

You need decent pool facilities?

What types of food you like?

What are you willing to spend on decent restaurants per person?

You coming on weekdays or weekend? Double or triple room rates on the weekends.

Las Vegas does have its must see's plus other things to do and see given the time.

First timers should ay least see.

The Bellagio Fountains

The Bellagio Conservatory

The Forum shops at Caesars Palace.

The Mirage Volcano show.

The Upper level of the Venetian, shops, shows, restaurants and Gondola ride.

Check out the shops at Planet Hollywood Hotel.

The Sirens show at Treasure Island.

City Center

Downtown light show if you have time, go at night

Lake of Dreams Show

Other things to do if you have time.

Go for drinks at MIX located at THEHotel, go in early evening.

Check out the Big name Hotels, Wynn, Bellagio, Caesars, Palazzo, Encore, MGM, Mirage, Venetian and Mandalay Bay.

Have a drink atop the Stratosphere Tower at sunset.

Drinks at Mandarin bar.

Drinks at Cosmo bar.

Of course this is just a small list but it will introduce you to the sights and sounds of LV.

The way you wrote your question says your b'day is dec 31 and u will be arriving NLT dec 25, 2013. Is this correct? Quite clear to me if so.

You have a year to plan. Start by reading a few forums such as this and others to get a "feel" fir LV.

Look at a map to get your bearings.

Then post individual questions for each category. Give us your tastes, budget in dollars and what you are seeking.

Happ birthday

If I were a first time visitor and had the budget, I think I'd be happiest staying at the Palazzo/Venetian. Great rooms, location and for me, its always had the biggest Vegas "wow" factor...
