venetian vs palazzo

So excited to be planning a trip for Feb. 2014. I have narrowed down my hotel search to the Venetian. Is there any difference between the Venetian or the Palazzo. I have stayed at the Venetian before and thought the room was a little tired. Loved the casinos in both. Oh also - I think I have found the venetian on priceline. Can you request 2 queens when you check in?

thanks for the advice

I'm gonna go with the palazzo- simply because we are staying the next month. It is newer so maybe the rooms will not be as tired.

I prefer the Palazzo. The V/P are one of the few hotels that will guarantee two queen beds but they do cost a little more then a king room. But because they do cost a little more if you book them ahead of time they will be reserved for you. My husband and two of his friends go every year and book the 2 queens plus they have the sofa made up as the third bed. A lot of properties will not guarantee 2 queen beds, they will take your request but there is no guarantee they will have them when you arrive. If you need the 2 beds reserve them when you book with the hotel.

Love the V/P! for the last several years Palazzo has been my favorite. The rooms are virtually identical. The Venetian has a wrought iron railing separating the sleeping area from the living room/desk/table area, while the Palazzo has a a small (24") wall separating the areas.

We also go at least once a year for a girls trip and put three in a room (now we book Palazzo Prestige we have been spoiled!). You can guarantee two Queen beds by booking a Bella Suite. It is typically $20 a day more that the King suite. After the renovation at the Venetian, not all of the sofas are sleepers (all of the sofas at Palazzo are). So, if that is important to you be sure to request it upfront. I have been on solo business trips and booked a King suite at the Venetian, and was asked upon check-in if I wanted one king bed or two doubles (with no additional cost), but I am sure that only happens if available.

You will love V/P!!!
