Amagansett and Montauk activities, Oct 19-21, 2018?

We drive to Amagansett by midday Friday and have the afternoon and all day Saturday to explore before a wedding at Gansett Manor on Saturday night. Are shops and restaurants still open? Looking for breakfast, vineyards, boutiquing, lobster rolls, great drives, breweries. We’ve got a car. Ideas?

Most places will be open for the weekend but a few will be closed. I was in the area last weekend and even on a holiday weekend with the Hamptons Film Festival in full swing there were some restaurants and shops closed for the off season. Wineries, breweries and farm stands will all be open. There will more more open places than closed so just have fun an explore Southampton, Bridgehampton, Sag Harbor, East Hampton, and all points east. All the drives are lovely and it's impossible to get lost (there is water on 3 sides) so just wander. Check out the Parish Art Museum or the Longhouse, the Whaling Museum in Sag or the Marine Museum in East Hampton. The villages are tiny and great for strolling, just pick one, two or three and walk around. Wolffer is my favorite winery and their tasting room is reservation only so it's never over crowded like the others on the North Fork.
