Pub Sunday Lunch that allows dogs

We will be travelling back from Burnham Market on a Sunday in early December after a weekend break in a cottage and want to try and eat Sunday lunch before we set off home. We know there are a lot of dog friendly pubs in this area but can you actually take your dog into the area where you eat? We are quite happy to eat in the bar area but don't really want to leave our dog in a cold car. Any suggestions would be very helpful. Lots of the pubs I have found online do let dogs into the bar areas but not sure whether they can lie at your feet if you are eating hot food. Our dog is very well behaved. We always take her into The Beach Cafe at Wells but not sure whether they do a full Sunday lunch.

The Hoste is very dog friendly and you can eat in the bar area if there is a vacant table. Wells beach café is the most dog friendly place I have ever visited. It even has a dog shower for washing dogs after a beach visit. But it doesn't do full meals.

I agree, the Beach Cafe is a fantastic place for dog owners; however, when we were there last December the dog wash was not operating but it was very quiet which suited us. The new website for The Hoste seems to have no mention at all about our four legged friends and it seems to be drifting away from it's old roots. It has changed beyond recognition from The Hoste we knew of old. We really want somewhere that has more "real" pub about it. Thanks for your comments.

If you got the Good Pub Guide site

http://www.thegoodpubguide.co.uk/

and do an "advanced" search and select "dogs allowed" it will show you which pubs allow dogs in the search area. If you then look at the pub details it will show you where the dogs are allowed e.g. "Bar area" or "everywhere"

Thanks but I cannot seem to see an "advanced" search facility. The "dogs allowed" symbol is on each individual pub if you double click onto it but it looks like you have to look at each pub individually to find out if they allow dogs. Thanks anyway.

I agree that The Hoste is nothing like it was in its prime - I rarely go there nowadays as the locals are no longer made to feel welcome and prices are high. It's not a pub, but the café at Burnham Deepdale is dog friendly and not much out of your way.

The Lodge Inn at Old Hunstanton is dog friendly if that's on your way back. I agree with the Dabbling Duck at Massingham, that's very dog friendly too. Depends where you're going to I suppose!
