Shillong trip in September End?

We are planning a trip to Shillong during 24-30th September. Will retreating monsoon cause much rainfall during that time? Is it safe to travel the area during this period? Friends are worried about roads and landslides during this period. Is this a good time to go there?

That is Durga Puja week and yes normally it rains a bit. But roads are 90% good and landslides are not that common.

This is also usually the last period when the waterfalls are full in flow before they start to dry up.

Yes, You can definitely visit Meghalaya at the end of September. Generally, monsoon does not affect much at that time.

Roads in Meghalaya are good, safe to travel.
