Affordable hotels

Where can i find affordable hotels(500-1000 rupees per day ) in Gauhati, Shillong and Gangtok to stay during nights ?is it recommended to pre-book the room in the hotels or is it okay if we reach the destination and choose the hotel?

Thanks in advance

These are just indicators. Barring Guwahati, you may or may not find availability in ML/SK since you are travelling in October holiday season.

Even the budget hotels in Shillong are expensive and mostly over Rs.1000/night. You can try Aurobindo ashram, Zion guesthouse or Marwari Basa Hotel dormitory

Like Bornav said, Shillong is an expensive place to stay especially during peak season. You can however try out Hill Star Hotel .

There is no online booking for the budget hotels, but you can call and at least find out the availability.

You will find the phone no's of the lodges listed above online.
