Visiting Drayton manor

My family will be staying at Wychnor Park over half term and want to visit Drayton manor. They do not have a car and we wondered if there is any inexpensive way of getting there and back? The party will be 2 adults and 2 children

In short no. If they had a car it would take around 30 minutes. It's not near a train or bus stop to take them there so the only option is a taxi which at a guess would be in the region of £30-35 each way. If you do want to go then book your Drayton Manor tickets online for the best rate. You will pay far more just arriving and paying at the entrance gate.

As a thought. If you do use a taxi to take you there do be aware that during the school holidays the traffic can be a nightmare. You'll need to plan to be there before the opening time to make the most of your time and to ensure that you get on most of the rides. There is a long drive to get you into the grounds, so if the taxi is stuck in traffic (for which you will be paying on the meter) you might just want to ask the driver to drop you off anywhere relatively close and walk the remainder.

Thanks for the info - looks like they'll have to do their homework carefully
