visiting in February

Since this is the off season, is there still plenty to see and do or is everything closed up?

As I mentioned in my other post - we have over a 1/4 million year round residents. Things here do not "close up". Some things that are primarily tourist driven may have reduced hours in winter, but that's about it.

February is not the perfect time to visit Charleston but it's certainly not the worst. I don't think there is a bad time to visit the city. It may be cool at nights but SC has very nice weather year round. There is never a shortage of things to see and do. The flowers will not be blooming but go to Middleton Place and Drayton Hall on Ashley River. Visit Ft. Sumpter. Go to Mt. Pleasant and Folly Beach. Go to High Cotton and McCrady's for fine dining. Good luck.
