Hilton Head beach question: South Beach vs Forrest Beach

Hi, I stayed in the Coligny/ Forrest Beach area of HHI the past 2 years. I found a great beach front house for this summer in Sea Pines - on South Beach. My friend is concerned that the waves in that area (since it is close to the inlet) will be poor.

Can anyone speak to the waves in comparison to Forrest Beach? The house is not in the inlet or "around the bend" but it is close to it. And any other thoughts about the rest of the beach or shark concerns are welcome.

Thanks,

Mark

In general, HHI is not known for its waves. Having said that, both south beach and forest beach are considered to be high energy environments, so the waves should be fairly commensurate.
