BIG Family Group looking to vaca in SURFSIDE or GARDEN CITY.

or maybe somewhere like that..... Do you have another town rec - given that we:

Want a NICE area ----- NOT COMMERCIALIZED, but perhaps within driving distance of Myrtle --- for the teens.

WHICH is nicer - SURFSIDE OR GARDEN CITY? or another area?

Specific house or condo recs within those? ***MUST be OCEANFRONT & MUST have POOL***

Fave restaurants in those areas?

Myrtle AREA - fave restaurants, things to do ..... for teens & for families?

Many teens with us - but they are pretty well behaved.

I can't believe no one replied to this...

Did you already visit? If so how was your trip?

If not, here is a reply to your post:

I have stayed in both Garden City and Surfside and like both. I personally prefer the north side of Surfside Beach since it seems quieter than between the piers and we like to run north on the beach to the park.

The south side of Garden City is also very nice and quiet.

Almost any restaurant in Murrells Inlet is great food. My favorites are Drunken Jacks and Lee's Inlet Kitchen.

Things to do: What do you want to do?

Shopping: Barefoot Landings, Pawleys Island Hammock Shops, Broadway at the Beach, various junk shops all over the area.

There are various shows throughout the area.

Family activities such as go carts, puttputt, tours.

If you haven't already, have a great trip!
