We stayed at the Best Western over Memorial Day weekend, and a few months back, we stayed at the new Holiday Inn. Of the two, I definitely recommend the Holiday Inn. Of course, HI is more expensive of the two. You get what you pay for. BW's rooms open to the outside, which I think is dangerous, especially for a woman. The rooms were not the best. Our inside door handle kept falling off. Others in our party found roaches in their rooms. We stayed two nights, and the second-night maid service was inferior. They did not leave plenty of towels and bath cloths, and we ran out of toilet paper. Beds were only half made up. The rooms wasn't straightened up. They were obviously not working for a tip. The pool and jacuzzi are outside. The breakfast did include hot items. Our room had a microwave and refrigerator, but others in our party had one or the other, but not both.
The HI, on the other hand, was fabulous, clean. Maid service was wonderful. Rooms are on the inside. Hot items on the breakfast buffet. Rooms have microwaves and refrigerators. It was excellent.
