Anyone stayed at these cottages?

Wondering if there are any opinions on this one:

https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/2726709

My alternate is the Surfboard house:

http://hanaleisurfboardhouse.com/

And if I end up going with more than one other person, my thought is Palaka:

Thanks for any help!

We stayed in Palaka in 2011 & 2012. Decent location but the house was so-so but I believe they’ve remodeled since 2012. I just remember being bit by mosquitoes inside the house - very little air flow. The location may not even be a great sell with the road to the pier closed off anyway. I can’t say we wouldn’t recommend it but it’s my least favorite of 4 different places we’ve rented in Hanalei.

Is located at 4500 Pilikoa Street. Not too far from the Hanalei Beach Park. I personally like the location of the Hanalei Surfboard House better. Much closer to the beach.

The last house is right across the street from the homes that were destroyed. You can actually see the gray house with while pillars. That is now in half and has a river running through it. No way would I want to stay there. I don't even think you can get down that far on Weke. There will be trucks and debris everywhere. Surfboard House gets good comments but it always looks so junky to me when I walk by.

Wow, thanks for the feedback, I will keep looking. This wouldn't be until next year FYI. I am thinking ahead.

Any other suggestions for houses near the beach? Looking for something $600/night or under in the off-season.

Thanks.

Chelsea - perhaps share what you are looking for - # of bedrooms, # of people, etc., and folks will be happy to make recommendations. Good to be thinking a year ahead - next summer? :)

On Hanalei Bay? Or would you consider Anini?

Coalminer, yes here is more info. I'm thinking of next May. Seems like the best time to go.

There will be three adults - a couple and a friend, so two bedrooms is fine. Would like to be close to a part of the beach that is most swimmable. We are not surfers.

This one is $632 in May - kind of pricey but looks super nice. Any intel on it?
