Looking for hip, wedding officiant, place to stay in town

Future honeymooners looking to get married in a private non pretentious ceremony with a cool officiant that won’t brankbthe bank. Also a neat place to stay within walking distance to town or in town. We don’t need luxury just a clean place to rest our heads. Looking for tips on best eats & hangouts. TIA!

Julie is terrific.

If you want to be walking distance to a town, then Kapaa could work. There is Kauai Coast Beach Resort, Islander On The Beach, Courtyard By Marriott or Wailua Bay Villas. Lots to choose from. It kind of depends on when this is. Poipu is also excellent. The Sheraton is a nice low key hotel on the best beach. Plantation Garden would make a lovely dinner spot after getting married on Shipwreck Beach. The North Shore is lush and green with gorgeous backdrops for small beach weddings. Puu Poa Beach is very pretty and I frequently see small weddings there under the trees with Bali Hai in the background. You could stay in Princeville or Hanalei.

For other restaurant suggestions you could read our top questions and theres one on restaurants. Lets focus on where you want to stay first and when this is happening and we can help from there.

Thank you kindly. We would like to come during low season. We were thinking September? We would like to be close to Hanalei for a few days of our trip.

Yes Hanalei thank you. We are hoping for September of 2019 as I know you need to book in advance. Otherwise this coming May. I’d like to stay under $200 if possible. TIA.

You won’t stay in Hanalei for under $200, Hanalei is an extremely diserable location and has only homes and cottages with rates to match. You can stay in a condo in Princeville which is planned community of homes, condos and the St Regis Hotel...all sitting up a bluff. Any vacation rental with have a cleaning fee and taxes of nearly 15%. Princeville is a 15 minute drive to Hanalei.

I don't think I've ever seen a pretentious wedding on Kauai. In general that's not Kauai. It's the place for non-pretentious weddings and everything else, no matter what part of the island. Most people do simple outdoor ceremonies on a beach, up on a hill with a view, or something similar.

That sounds perfect! Any suggestions as to a fun restaurant/bar to celebrate after the ceremony? Casual is fine. We just want to be with good people who’d be happy to celebrate with us ❤️

Hanalei Inn is under $200 a night and is a five minute to the beach. https:/…Vacation-Rental-Hanalei-HI.html

Tahiti Nui in Hanalei would be a fun place to celebrate.

Also, Wai’oli Beach Park is a popular wedding location and the closest beach to Hanalei Inn.

Tahiti Nui, yes. Hanalei Inn....it seems to be more for backpackers....check their website “ and even a pay phone”. Sorry, that just doesn’t spell Honeymoon to me.....
