SF Giants are champion- what does that mean for visitors?

Congratulations!

I'm flying into SF on 12 Nov and I don't watch baseball (although I would appreciate the good mood all around..)

Is there gonna be any parades, exhibitions ,etc?

You will now be able to buy the brand new Giants baseball caps, and wear them proudly, lol

By Nov 12 it will be a distant memory.

Tomorrow (Nov 3) is another story as a major parade will be happening.

You'll see lots of places to buy Giants t-shirts and baseball caps. And I think the city will still be in a good mood! Enjoy your visit!

By the time you get here, the political scene will be totally different.

Today is election day. San Francisco isn't voting for Mayor, but Tim Lincecum will be elected anyway by a grassroots (no pun intended, hee hee) write-in campaign. Buster Posey & Edgar Renteria will be elected to the Board of Supervisors. Oakland needs a new Mayor (actually, like San Francisco, they've needed a new Mayor for years), and Freddie Sanchez looks like the popular write-in choice. Bruce Bochy will be elected Governor and Brian Wilson will become Attorney General (The Enforcer).

San Francisco, Oakland, and the state of California will be in better hands than they have been for decades.

I suppose there's no way to get my hands on one of those foam beards, huh?

I'm getting in on the 11th, I hope the good mood isn't a distant memory. ;)

Just buy yourself a Giants baseball cap and wear it around town and you will still see plenty of smiles. You might even get a "Go Giants" and a high five!

I read that the Giant's Dugout Stores at AT&T Park and the Embarcadero were selling the fake beards, but that they sold out...fast.

Yes, by the 11th or 12th we'll be back to griping about how bad the 49ers are. There sure were lots of people trying to sell Giants gear along Market Street today, though.

I was at EC4 most of the day yesterday and the line for the Dugout store ran along Drumm to Clay and curved around the side of the building to the parking garage entrance! It's not a big store either.

Thank you guys...

I'm not surprised there won't be anymore parades anymore by the time I arrive...

enjoy the moment..

and I must apologize... i didnt what/who is 49ers but now i know...

does that mean the city is divided about Giant's win?

is there any limited 'champions' jersey editions on sale?
