Rte 64 from Grand Canyon to Cameron Trading Post

I will be traveling to the Grand Canyon from Sedona on Xmas day, staying for the day and then making my way to Cameron Trading Post overnight. Is Rte 64 open at that time to travel to Cameron? I believe since I will pay the entrace fee to GCNP that this would cover me the whole route 64 to Cameron Trading post. Is that accurate? I saw somewhere where parts of 64 were private but not sure if tht means you have to pay the entrace to GC in order to use it.

You will pay an entrance fee at whatever entry gate you use to access the Grand Canyon NP. You will not pay any extra fee to drive highway 64 from Grand Canyon Village out to highway 89.

Your only "issue...

might be weather & highway conditions ... Be driving a vehicle that has proper tires and extra clothing or sleeping bags to keep you comfortable should you become "stuck" in this remote area ... Happy trails ... carracar
