I don't believe there's any such thing, maybe the 4 Seasons. The Kona airport essentially gets 1-2 planes arriving each hour, that's just a few hundred people an hour at best, many locals with their own cars, most everyone else rents. A hotel would literally have to have a van and a driver available all day to pick up a very few people.
Are you flying to Hilo? If so, you might as well taxi it. If you're driving to Hilo, bite the bullet and pay for an extra full day's rent on the car, it'll be cheaper than the taxi to the hotel and back to the car pickup option.
If you could clarify how you will travelling to Hilo the next day?
There are no complimentary airport shuttles of any kind in Kailua-Kona....as you often see in other major centers.
A car rental is based on a 24 hr clock...so picking it up at 10 p.m....is not paying for a whole day. You would have it until 10 p.m the next day to be charged for 1 days use.....
But not knowing all the ins and outs of your plans....If transportation is being provided for you the next day to Hilo.....a one way Taxi is likely your best bet on arrival night.
The reason why none of the hotels offer free shuttle service is simple: there is no demand for it. We have no public transportation on this island and everybody visiting here rent a car.
