Very special Christmas treat :hotel dinner, high tea?

We're coming to visit Seattle between the 28th and 30th of December. We'd like to take our adult daughter out for a very special dinner somewhere that's got a super Christmassy feel.

Any suggestions?

I would check out the Fairmont Olympic. Sort of similar to the Fairmonts in Vancouver with a Grand Dame sort of feel. High tea I don't think you'll find but a similar feel

There is a 'Holiday Tea' served in the Georgian Room (Fairmont Olympic Hotel) through December 31st. Reservations are recommended. More info: fairmont.com/seattle/dining/thegeorgiantea/

The Holiday Tea menu is here (a PDF will open): fairmont.com/seattle/…

Sorry to be a bit thick, but I'm not sure what you mean by a super Christmassy feel. Do you mean holiday decorations, music or the dinner menu?

I think the hotel restaurants would be the most Christmas-y as far as decor. Oliver's and Andaluca at Mayflower Park. Brasserie Margaux at Warwick.

Or I think you can't go wrong with one of the Tom Douglas restaurants... Dahlia Lounge, Ettas's Seafood, Lola's, Palace Kitchen.

Or restaurants within the Pike Place Market feel very "Seattle": Matt's at the Market, Il Bistro, Place Pigalle, Maximillian's, Cafe Campagne.

The Fairmont Olympic is exactly what the OP is looking for. Afternoon tea or cocktails and snacks in the beautiful lobby would be perfect. Another choice for super Christmassy would be the Rob Roy bar. It is known for its craft cocktails, and at this time of year they have "advent cocktails" to suit the season.

I love all the restaurants Suze2you listed, and I would recommend each of them for dinner, but I don't think any of them will provide the super Christmassy feel sought by the OP. On the other hand, Pike Place Market itself is dripping, (literally, there are garlands and lights hanging everywhere) with Christmas festivity, so choosing one of the restaurants there will put you in a Christmas frame. Of the restaurants Suze2you listed, I would pick Place Pigalle for its setting near the water and its intimate, festive spirit.

You might also consider Sitka and Spruce, a very personal, very PNW, restaurant with an unusual and well executed menu. It's inside Melrose Market, which is nicely decorated at Christmas, with a real holiday feeling. You could walk around Capital Hill after dinner. It's a very exciting neighborhood.

The Georgian Room is pretty amazing! Very elegant and The Fairmont Olympic is one of my favorite hotels in the Pacific Northwest. Merry Christmas! 🌲
