Whale Watching Tours

Staying downtown at the end of June and would like to take the family on a good whale watching excursion. Any recommendations?

Drive up to Edmonds. That is the place closest to Seattle with tours. The orcas hang out wherever they can find food, and that is seldom close to the city...so a tour from Seattle would spend most of its time just traveling the 60 miles or so necessary to get near their usual feeding areas.

We are looking at that. Any idea what an uber ride from downtown would run to Edmonds?

Not being a ride-share user, I have no clue.

512 sound express bus to Lynnwood transit center then transfer to bus that goes to Edmonds Ferry dock. (Silver firs?)

Also check with Puget Sound Express. In previous years there has been a shuttle from downtown hotels to their location in Edmonds.

Sorry for the meddling and then by Edmonds ... are there more companies organizing the excursions to see the killer whales? Do you have any names? Thank you

That is the closest one to Seattle. Most are nearer to where the whales live--out of Friday Harbor on San Juan Island, mostly, but there is at least one out of Port Townsend and also Anacortes.

There are tours from Port Angeles as well.
