Wildlife Viewing

I am going to be in Omaha this week for work and like to do nature photography. I noticed there are a few parks and WMA's in the area, but local knowledge is always better. Are there any particular hotspots for spotting wildlife?

If you have access to a car, you could go to Mahoney State Park. It is exit 426 off of I-80. This will be west of Omaha. Here there are many trails to look for wildllife.

The Lauritzen Gardens or the Wildlife Safari Park.
