Are there any other guides besides Fernando?
What kind of guide you looking for ? Just for the day or longer ? With a car or not ?
One whole day. A car would be good unless it is not needed.
Im looking too. I emailed Fernando, but no reply. I will be interested in the suggestions you get. Looking for December 17-19. Not for the whole time, but part.
Cruise ships have taken all the guides.
Is Cienfuegos such a large place that a guide is required? We did quite fine in Havana without one. Or is this one of those US requirement issues?
John...again some are going to perceive that if they get off the ship they need an approved tour or guide...some have been cruising and watching the smart ones just get off and do their own thing and wonder what is going on.
True, jj just looks like a guy that might like to do it on his own, nice to know that there's optional options, as an option
Holland America Ship Services said we can not even get off the ship in Ciefuegos without an approved tour. Does anyone have a recommendation fo a guide in February?
@8 You are being given incorrect information by the cruise line to force you to pay for a tour. You do NOT have to go on a tour if you select "Support for the Cuban People" as your reason for visiting Cuba.
