The 2007 Aloha Week Festivals have already began with activities on O'ahu this past weekend. Here is the Headliners for Signature Events for Aloha Week Festivities on all six islands, beginning with O'ahu. Please take the time to enjoy our rich cultural events as many "local" people of all enthnic groups will come out to celebrate our Royal King and Queen on all islands.
Island of O'ahu ...... August 24th thru September 28th
Aug 24th ..... Royal Court Investiture, Honolulu Hale, 10 am
traditional chants and hula highlight this annual event
where our new ali'i receives the royal symbols of their reign during
ceremonies at Honolulu Hale
Aug 24th ..... Aloha Friday Pa'ina, 11 am
Held at Honolulu Hale, this event presented the Royal
Hawaiian Band in a noon concert complemented by a Hawaiian
luncheon and entertainment
Sep 2nd ..... Kawaiaha'o Church Services, 9 am
Sunday church services will honor the attendance of
the 2007 Aloha Festival Court - Free to worship
Sep 14th ..... Aloha Friday Luncheon -
11 am to 2 pm at Shore Bird Restaurant, Outrigger
Reef on the Beach. Live broadcast via Hawaiian KINE 105
Radio. "Ono food, good entertainment". Cost is $18 adults and

Sep 14th ..... Opening Ceremonies, Iolani Palace, 5 pm
the official beginning of the 2007 Aloha Festivals
events on O'ahu. Traditional hula and chant introduce our O'ahu
Royal Court on the grounds of the beautiful 'Iolani Palace, 5:30 to
7 pm - free
Sep 15th ..... Aloha Festivals Floral Parade,
Ala Moana Blvd to Kapi'olani Park, 9 am. The Floral
Parade is best described as an "eruption of flowers," it's
pageantry unlike any parade in the world! The 60th annual Floral
Parade celebrates the festivals theme Ke Kahua Lani O Hawai'i --- Hawai'i's Beloved Royal Playgrounds. This theme represents
preservation of its rich histoy and cultural ties for Hawai'i's
children. Hawai'i's beloved royal playgrounds are symbolic an
unique to each neighboring island according to its ali'i and its
written history. Each is filled with stories, legends and chants
worthy of being told, worthy of being shared
Sep 15th ..... United States Air Force Thunderbirds -- Waikiki Beach
Exhibiton at 2:15 pm
in celebration of the Air Force's 60th Anniversary
celebration as the world renown Air Force Thunderbirds fly in
precision over Waikiki
Sep 15th ..... Kapolei Mele - Kapolei Regional Park, 5 pm
this new event replaces the Aloha Festivals Aloha
Friday Downtown Mele. Special guests includ the Air Force's
"Top in Blue" entertainment group, composed of 35 talented
vocalists, musicians, dancers and technicians. The popularity of
the group has made them America's goodwill ambassadors
around the globe. Five stages with all kinds of music, lots of food
and arts and crafts. -- Free

Sep 17th - 23rd ..... Third Annual Ho'iki'iki O Wai'anae
Makaha Resort and Golf Club
featuring local arts and crafts, song competition
contest and cultural activites. Special appearance by the Aloha
Festivals Royal Court, 9 am
Sep 21st ..... Waikiki Ho'olaule'a - 55 years celebration
The single largest block party in the 50th State Features
eight entertainment stages, lots of food booths and lei vendors
along 12 city blocks of the world-famous Kalakaua Avenue,
between Lewers Street and Kapahulu Avenue, 7 to 10:30 pm -Free
Sep 22nd ..... Longest Hula Line on Waikiki
This event first occurred in 1996 for the "Largest Hula
Dance" at 3,500 dancers and was included in the Guinness Book
of World Records commemorating the Aloha Festivals 50th
anniversary. This year, Aloha Festivals introduces this event once
again to gain entry into the Guinness Book of World Records for
reaching a goal of 5,500 dancers from all over the world. 3 pm
Sep 28th ..... The 13th Annual Aloha Festivals Hawiian Falsetto
Contest - Sheraton Waikiki Hotel, Hawai'i Ballroom
Ten male contestants compete in "soprano-like"
voices to vie for a recording contract with Hula Records. Hear
songs written by renowned Hawai'i composers. Come enjoy an
evening filled with nostalgia as we honor those who have
performed this Hawaiian art form over the decades. Admission

Big Island of Hawai'i starts Aug. 25th to Sep 30th.
Island of Maui begins Oct 12th to Oct 14th. Hana Celebrates Aloha Week Sep 22nd.
Island of Lana'i began Aug 25th and will end on Sep 22nd.
Island of Moloka'i begins Oct 4th and end on Oct 6th
Island of Kaua'i begins on Sep 6th and ends on Sep 12th.
