Where to pick up ferry tickets?

Being confused here. We are going to Kos from Rhodes tomorrow afternoon, and reading the blue star site, it seems like the place to pick up our online ordered tickets is "111 amerikis street". But by logic and experience and from what I've read here, they could be picked up at the (Acandia) harbour.

It would seem very strange to me to have to pick up ferry tickets on the other side of town!?

Fantastic to be back in Greece by the way!

You can certainly pick up the tickets at the Blue Star ticket hut at Akandia Harbour. As this is only open from about three hours before departure time, they also tell you the address of their main Rhodes agent. which is open during normal office hours and is located where most hotels and businesses are.

Bring your booking confirmation email.

Short feedback: Worked perfectly, took a taxi from the airport after returning our rental car there, taxi drove straight along the walls of Rhodes old city (wow, the size of it, feels like Jerusalem-by-the-sea!) and dropped us off at the Acandia ferry terminal. Got our tickets from the Blue star booth upon showing our reservation email. We could board the ferry 2 hours prior to departure. But, how do they check you're not just remaining on the ship all the way to Pireaus if you have only bought tickets to Kos? For example. We did some island some 15-20 years ago and have no memory of ticket checks along the way. Ok, it IS an extremely honest country, but still..

Was the first time for us on both Rhodes and Kos, very satisfied with both. A beginner's recommendation for both islands would be to stay both in the main town and somewhere far from it to really get a taste of the island. That goes especially for Rhodes since the island is too big to only plan having one base and making excursions from there. That is much more doable on Kos, of course.

Favourite beach on Rhodes south-east coast for us was Glystra. South of Gennadi it's mostly shingle/pebbles, not sand, until you reach Prasonissi which has lots of sand but was too windy for us, on both sides.

Surprisingly good lunch place was Gre Cafe along the road in Kiotari, very surprising since it looked like a tourist trap from outside, but good prices and quality made sure we returned several times! Actually far better than other certain "recommended" places nearby.
