San Teodoro tips

Looking for a 8-9 day holiday in Sardinia and am really struggling to decide where to go. Like the look of Porto cervo but looks very expensive, alghero looks good but too far from the olbia airport.

We are an early 30's couple, no kids and need to go between 22/7 and 5/8. Flights are ok at £220 each but hotels look either incredibly expensive or shabby. We like nice beaches, culture and architecture and lovely restaurants. Basically a mixture between a chilled out holiday and a little bit of sight seeing. Nice to have somewhere with life at night but not clubby or anything tacky.

Advice much appreciated!

Hi,

We're a couple in our mid 30's with 2 children and visited San Teodoro last year and loved it so much we're going again next week. As it's quite close you may struggle to find somewhere to stay. We're staying here https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Hotel_Review-g… but booked in January. Last year we got a place through Air bnb so it may be worth checking on there. The reason we liked San Teodoro so much was the amazing beaches and great food. For culture and architecture you may need to hire a car and travel further out as San Teodoro is more of a seaside resort where lots of Italians holiday. We liked how close it was to the Airport (very handy with two children) as we didn't hire a car and used a Taxi to get to and from the airport. We didn't get to experience the night life much last year but it looked great with places like Bal Harbour and Ambra Night plus some nice bars. The whole time we were there last year we only saw one other british couple which we quite liked. If you do choose San Teodoro some restaurants I recommend are:

If I haven't sold it to you yet check out the #Santeodoro on instagram https:/…

You'll see it's a place with amazing beaches and lots of people in their 20's and 30's.

If you have any other questions feel free to ask and have a great holiday in Sardinia wherever you choose.

Hi, we’re going this year to San Teodoro and I enjoyed reading your review. Is there anything in the evening suitable for families with kids? We have an almost 4yo girl and on holiday she tends to have a long nap (must be the heat) and stay up late. It works for us as we could enjoy some relaxing time in the evening but was wondering if there are some night markets or anything to see/do with her in the evenings. Just to mention we are staying at a family friend near san Teodoro so no hotel to provide the entertainment just us and the italian experience😊 Thanks! M

Yes there is a night market in the centre of town. Also all the restaurants are amazing with children. It seems most Italians do as you do as it wasn't uncommon to see lots of young children with their families late into the night.
