Guys dress code-lindo a la carte

Hey everyone

Can men wear nice jeans as long pants or does I have to be khakis etc? Also can men wear nice leather sandals that are flip flops?

Thanks!

Most alacartes require men to wear long pants and closed toe shoes...jeans are fine but you will find very few men wearing them.

I am heading there (actually the Beach) in June and I was asking about the foot wear. I am planning on wearing the Keen type sandals and people said that should be fine. I am taking a pair of khakis though.

I recall seeing a man wearing jeans to dinner at the Steakhouse in January, however as another post states, it is rare.............I was actually surprised to see the jeans, which is most likely why I remember them....................my husband always wears khakis, and closed toed sandals.....................

Not sure what Keen Sandals are but if they are closed toe, then you are fine.

I don't take jeans since they are heavier than dress pants.

Im kind of bummed that I have to take pants to Mexico where it is going to be 90 deg. . Im going to because I want to eat :), but Id much rather just take some khaki shorts to wear. I didnt even take pants with me to hawaii!

But, I guess I cant stress taking one pair of pants. Im sure when I get there and Im sitting on the beach, I wont care if I have to wear pants to dinner.

Oh well, not a huge deal, just wanted to vent a bit.

thanks!

A lot of men go right back to their room after dinner and change into shorts. YOu don't need the long pants for the theater or bars or disco.

My husband wore nice, pressed jeans with driving moccasins to Toni's, and didn't look out of place at all. As a matter of fact, I saw quite a few people wearing dressed up jeans, and less formally dressed people on our last trip, than ever before.
