MUST...make your dinner reservations as soon as you get there. For a seven night stay you are guaranteed three ala carte dinner reservations. You can be put on a waiting list for more.

Make sure you try their wonderful ice cream. There is an ice cream bar in the pool area. We love the coconut ice cream with Kahlua over it!

We always ask for buildings 14 or 15 since they are halfway between the beach and the restaurant/lobby areas. We prefer the third floor pool view rooms....just know there are NO elevators, so if steps are an issue go with first or second floor rooms.

Here is a link to a map of the resort (minus the IB Grand) so you can get an idea of the layout:

You also have access to the extra eateries in the Commercial Center which is across from the Lindo lobby. The disco is also in that building.

We really like the different tacos from the commercial center. Take a stroll over there and try them out!

As Schmerl said make your dinner reservations as soon as you get there and definitely ask to be put on the waiting list for more. We have never had a problem with that. Our favorites are the Mediterranean (all fish) and the Italian. My husband doesn't like Japanese food so we have never been there so can't comment on that. The Brazilian is good but you really need to be a meat lover Steak house great as well. Had tons of fun there with the waiters. Mexican is ok but there is a Mexican night at the buffet so we usually skip that. Breakfast is great, try the made to order omelets. We book the 14 or 15 block facing the pool and email ahead of time with our request. We love the quiet pool which is right outside block 15 ,But you can go to the two other pool bars if you want more excitement. Have fun at the lobby bar and say to Dimetrio for us. Go into Playa for a change of pace and some shopping. Shuttle is available for a small fee. There is so much you can do there, depending on what you want. We have pretty much seen everything so now we just go there to relax and unwind, but there are amazing sites to be seen. Any questions just ask. It is one of our favorite spots and we try to go there often

Oh yes...the breakfast buffet is wonderful. The buffet in the main (lobby area) restaurants is MUCH better than the one by the pool. The freshly cooked donuts are yummy!

Is there a station at either the Beach or Del Mar Buffets that makes Crepes during the breakfast times?

NO just pancakes, waffles and home made omelets, There is a crepe place at the commercial center that is great, also a small taco place all included.
