There's an invigorating mountain hike in Peachland accessible at the top of Forest Hills Drive. It's an old logging road with precious little motorized traffic. Maybe that's why there are so many deer up there!
There's a few variations to this hike but if you stick to the main road and hike 'til you reach a major plateau, it will take you 20 to 30 minutes. From this point you can choose to turn around are explore some of the branch trails. There's a private home with a large dog way up the road so be sure to obey the "No Trespassing" signs.
The beginning of the trail at Forest Hills Drive is real easy. About 800 meters in, the trail becomes all up-hill for the next 1200 meters or so. There are no toilet facilities.
