I arranged before my arrival for the driver to pick me at Ende airport. I am certain you can arrange for Maumere airport pick up too. I got the driver's contact recommended by my Indonesian friend.

For an English speaking driver you are looking at around 1 million rupiah / day for a short duration trip of 5 days or so; price is negotiable for longer trips. Remember that the driver will have to return to their home base once they drop you off, which is generally an extra 2 days of driving for them to get back home again.

If you search for drivers in the Flores forum, several recommended drivers will come up, with their WhatsApp contact details.

A driver for 750k is very rare or even not possible at all.

The average price is 900k usually with a minimum of 5 days and sometimes an empty run is charged. This price includes car, driver, fuel and costs for the driver (place to sleep, food etc).

Hi, Could you let me know the cost per day for a car with driver ( basic English speaking) for the Flores Overland tour? Would appreciate if you can share few contacts. We have enough time to go for 8-10 days from East to West or in the opposite direction ( excluding the Komodo cruise) .We are a senior couple and looking to see if we can reach Flores in the next ten days.

#7 - I used two different drivers when I was in Flores last year, both were excellent and I'd highly recommend either of them. Both of them speak very good English. Cost last year was 1million rupiah per day.
