Flew Business from Perth to Sydney on VA556 on 26 September 2018. Aircraft was a relatively new 737-800. Seats were a 'pod' style, very comfortable with lots of room, converting to a good flat bed, a big screen, great choice of entertainment, and nice fittings - a very minor negative was little storage space and nowhere to put a bottle of water especially on landing. The service was up to Virgin's usual high standard and meals/drinks choices were excellent. Crew were professional, happy and helpful and all requests were quickly met. Delay out of Perth didn't worry us as we were flying home, but may have been inconvenient for other passengers, some time was made up but nothing significant. Announcements kept pax informed. Over all a good experience for us.

Our plane to Brisbane was 40 minutes late. Our flight back to Sydney was randomly cancelled and virgin forced us to get another one two hours later. As a result of this my girlfriend was late for a class where she was supposed to give a presentation she was being assessed on. We arrived at the airport 25 minutes before flight was due to depart and we only had hand luggage. They would not let us check in or board the plane and forced us to spend another $300 on tickets, losers

Excellent legroom and seat comfort for a long flight. Most attentive and friendly cabin staff and highly acceptable airline meals.

I was traveling as Code share as first leg on an onward ticket with another Airline. At check in I was slightly over the limit for the other airline, so they changed me to my Velocity number to allow me the extra at no charge. I thought this was service plus, as they did not have to do it. - outside the box and I appreciate the effort.

We were the only 2 passengers in Business class. A great flight with the best meal ever on VA - a delicious chicken curry with soft cookies for dessert. They now have sparkling wine. Only issue is the check in in Hobart which is never warm and the lack of a lounge in Hobart.
