This is a totally fine airline - flights on time, friendly staff, baggage arrived all okay, nice meals, individual screen and all that. It's not a luxury airline, so don't expect that - it's not mega spacious - but to get from A to B, its perfect! Don't get put off by all the bad reviews on here.

My luggage got damaged on my way to Mexico, on my way back they noticed the damaged and made sign stating that it wasn’t them. I paid more to be seated at 5D and didn’t have room to place my backpack under the seat, when I got there all the upper storage was already full and I have to go all the way back to find a place for my luggage. I had a sombrero with me and took it off and placed on my legs. They forced me to place it in the upper storage because i couldn’t have with me. The flight attendant in the business class was rude and it looked like she was in a bad mood. I was upset but I didn’t say anything but I will not flight with you guys ever again.

Changed my flight time twice to an extrememly inconvenient time then refused to let me switch flights to a different day or time.

We paid for 2 return (YVR-Mex) tickets thru Expedia with seat selection. Expepdia failed to get seat selection for us (told us Aeromexico seat selection system is down). Expedia advised us to call Aeromexico directly for that. We did, but Aeromexico claimed that our booked flights are Feb4 dep and Fen10 return. We told Aeromexico that our flights are actually Feb4 dep and Feb7 return. Aeromexico then told me we could change the flight dates to Feb4 dep and Feb7 return plus seat selection for C$700+ addition to what we had paid Expedia. Amerimexico personnel also bad mouth Expedia that Expepdia would get you on any flights (even there is no vacancy) in order to get your money. We refused to pay this additional to Aeromexico. Then Aeromexico cancelled our flights.
Noticing this cancellation, we called back Aeromexico and then were told that Aeromexico could restore our Feb4-7 flights with seat selection if we pay C$500+.
We called back Expedia, arebut 2 days after this, the record on Aeromexico still showed cancellation. Expedia failed to completely resolve the problem until we called Expedia again today Jan25.

We are terrified now. Surely we felt we had been scammed. Will Aemexico cancel our flights again tomorrow??? Or will Aeromexico cancel our return flight after we are stuck in Mexico City.

GOD , please guide us. Should we forget about going to Mexico???????

Didn't even end up travelling with them. They kept moving our flight around and we decided to cancel 4 months in advance of the flight. When we did cancel, they would not refund or even give a travel voucher because we bought the tickets in the United States. I would STRONGLY recommend against Americans attempting to travel on this airline.
