I would otherwise look past some of the shortcomings the airline has as it is one of the few regular companies flying out of the Baltics, however yesterday I was again disappointed by the treatment I received in the gate in RIX. Having taken 3 flights with AirBaltic in the past week, there had been no checking of the hand luggage measurements (there had been no frame anywhere for me to even measure it). The weight was within allowed limits and the bag itself fit in the overhead compartment, so I gave it no second thought. Then, in my final flight at 12PM at night, I was made to check in my bag and pay 60€ for a 30-minute flight. Seriously? I understand the airline guide is meant to be followed, but I felt like I was punished for something the airline themselves had not taken enough care of (like enhance the importance of measurements from the start, provide necessary frames in more places etc). The flight was really late, short, half-empty and quite a few people besides me were made to pay the same amount. Their pricing is a lot and the quality of the flight does not match up to it.

First time i flyed with this airconpany was 3 years ago. Now nothing is change. Price of tickets is not much lower with other airconpanies. But YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR CHECK IN! What the f would you say? Yes its like this. Or you do by yourself or pay 30€. There is no ANY food or drinks. Can you imagine? NO ANY? For 5h fly!! And taaaadaaaam you have to pay for your luggage! Super! I would say ok if this airlines cost cheaper than other. But actually you can buy cheaper ticket of airfrance or klm if you try to buy not at the last minute)

It was a very short and efficient flight. No food was being served but was offered for a reasonable price.

My check in bag zipper is broken... N it's impossible to use the bag now :( spent 120 euros on new one here.

Staff in Prague airport at the gate could be more professional and kind. As well didn't got why invitation for boarding was announced in Russian, but not in Latvian (airBaltic's majority shareholder is Republic of Latvia). Service on board was excellent and cabin crew was really professional.
