We have flown with Air Canada a few times now and have always found their service good. Now with most airlines, you can check in online prior to to your flight. We did this and then checked in through the bag drop area, got our boarding passes, went through security and got to the waiting area.
The plane was on time and we were heading to Vancouver on a B737-800 from Harry Reid International Airport.
Boarding was a couple of minutes delayed but we left on time.
The plane was full so we didn't have seats together. My wife sat in the row directly behind me.
Legroom for the flight was standard for the 737. There was an inflight entertainment system on each seat which was good. The selection on this was fairly good for passengers so I watched a movie on the flight.
Service was ok on the flight. Standard for service on a small narrow body jet for a short hop flight.
We got into Vancouver on time with a nice smooth flight.
We would have no issues flying Air Canada again.

The flight was good and very smooth the staff was semi nice but when we arrived at the baggage claim my suitcase was missing a wheel and all scratched up and my other suit case the bent the zippers for forced entry because the suit case was locked there was nothing suspicious inside and we declared everthing it was very disappointing to see my luggage in that condition

I flew Air Canada in late July 2024 from Vancouver BC to San Francisco to visit family. I was concerned about the negative reviews I've seen about all the airlines that do this route directly or indirectly, so booked on Air Canada and hoped for the best.
In fact we did have the best. The check-in was simple, quick and without negative surprises - the only surprises were positive and helpful.
Similarly the boarding, flight and disembarkation were pleasant and without incident.
I fly a lot, and this experience was as good as it gets, and about as good as it could be.

I bought a two way flight from Philadelphia to Toronto with my cat in cabin. The day of the flight back I arrived somewhat late but could’ve still catch my plane. I needed to go through check in because someone needed to see my cat’s cage before the flight. When I arrived to check in the person that let people into the line told me (not friendly at all) that the gate closes 90 mins before the flight, and that I had missed my flight. I did the line anyways but in the meanwhile I got closer to one of the agents doing the check in to ask why they didn’t allow me to go in and she said the same. They didn’t give me my ticket to enter to the gates and didn’t even tried to help me. I called the airline for help and after a while they sold me a new ticket at US$323.58. My new flight was going to be in six hours so, being with my cat, I had to go back to the city and then back to the airport. The second time I arrived with more time than what the airlines asked so I could enter. The gate opened exactly 20 minutes before departure and closed 10 minutes before or less. Thus, the airline agents lied to me in my face saying that they close the gate 90 minutes in advance (what I knew because I had have flights with the airline before) and made me buy a new ticket and bear the cost of leaving 6 hours later. Even if the gate closed earlier, why didn’t they allowed me to enter and check by myself if I made it before the gate closed? They made me lose the opportunity to catch my flight, and I paid the price.

Absolutely disgusting. I had a flight for 7:45am. One cancelation and 2 delays later, my flight is now booked for 6pm. That has me in the airport for 12hrs. I could have driven to my destination faster.
This has cost me a full day of my trip. This is worse than swoop when they were still around. Air Canada should be ashamed of themselves.
