First the positives. Very helpful and friendly staff who did their best under trying circumstances. Food was good quality. Staff at the head office in the Seychelles helpfully transacted my extra luggage payment prior to departure.

The negatives. Our flight from Abu Dhabi was delayed by 4 hours. The cabin was cramped and definitely not the standard you would expect from an international airline. There was not enough space to store all hand luggage. In fact many items were stored under peoples feet or was stowed in the food cabin loosely at the back of the plane.

Warning: check your luggage allowance before leaving. We had no idea that we were only allowed 1 item up to 23kg per person. We had to buy an extra 20kg for 80 US Dollars. This would have been double the cost had we found out at the airport. We had to call Seychelles head office in Mahe to purchase it.

Many people missed flight connections because of the delay and emails were sent out too late for people to change plans before arrival at the airport.

The airline only has 2 internationally capable aeroplanes which is two A330-200 planes. There is no way that this airline can claim the same international standard that most passengers would expect.

In a nutshell, Air Seychelles is cheap but you get what you pay for - a no frills airline - perfect if you want to travel to the Seychelles on holiday. But I would not recommend this airline if you are in transit to somewhere. More than likely you will miss connecting flights elsewhere. It is definitely not recommended as a flight to take young children with you.

a good airline to travel with. however, i would advise you to check weight of luggage before check-in. i was under a kilo overweight and had to pay in excess of R1000 for extra weight. a sad end to a beautiful holiday. !!!

This quite a long flight but manageable because of the generous size of aircraft and the welcoming, hard-working cabin crew. The flight crew did their jobs well too....landing on target, on time and on wheels!

Typically good, no-frills airline....but cabin crew were very good. The aircraft was quite comfortable for its size, but I should have taken neck support for extra comfort. The food was average, but edible.

This was a small plane, with no food, inflight movie or toilets.....perhaps not surprisingly as the flight only took 15-20 minutes. The view from the widow made up for the lack of inflight entertainment and the pilots made a good team and were very knowledgeable. Take off and landing were spot on....smooth as landing on a sheet of glass.
