Our flight was delayed 4 hours out of Calgary, the check in staff were very busy trying to get new flight connections for passengers. We missed our connection to Australia but Alaska Airlines looked after us and accommodated us in Seattle airport at a lovely hotel and rebooked us for the next day. Have flown with Alaska several times and they have been good to fly with.

Alaska Airlines consistently offers good service at competitive prices. Their frequent-flier program is one of the best in the nation.

Recently flew up to Portland from Tucson direct, the plane an E75 was excellent, very comfortable and service up by Shanania (sp) was excellent and the service on return flight by Louise was excellent. Highly recommend this flight and carrier

We were on the early shuttle to Seattle for our connecting flight to Kona. We decided to check bags (we rarely do this) but checked 2 bags in Portland to Kona. Pane was boarded and ready to go on time, but it was noon at SeaTac and we had to wait several minutes to even leave the gate to taxi. I counted about 12 jets in front of us:( 45 minutes or so later the captain notified us we had burned too much fuel and had to return to get it topped off. Interesting the whining around us. What are these other passengers thinking? This is a Non-Stop flight over the Pacific.

Full flight but impressed how quiet the cabin was. No disruptive food service in the middle of the night. (Who needs to eat at 2 a.m.) Only drawback was, on the return flight,boarding was disruptive as too many large bags were allowed on. The overhead bin space was overwhelmed. Much reshuffling of bags to bins scattered throughout the plane, coats, hats etc., crushed. So unnecessary as baggage claim is so easy a process at PDX. Can't solely blame airline for this behavior, but stricter enforcement of baggage limits at the gate would help.
