“Very convenient connection from Austin, TX to London , but the aircraft is old”
Review of British Airways

Reviewed 3 weeks ago

We flue this route a number of times . This last flight was on September 4, 2018.
The usual aircraft for these route ( Austin- London-Austin ) is a Boeing 747, Jumbo Jet.
These are older planes and are in need to major update and repair. The plastic was getting off the wall in a few places close to my seat . The entertainment system is old , and dated. And the food was terrible on this flight. The service was fine and cabin configuration in business upper level is comfortable. I wish British Airlines will change aircraft on those flights to a newer, more up to date planes. The flights from Austin to London are always full capacity and thr tickets are not chip at all, and expectations are not met .

My wife and I fly from Heathrow to and from the USA. We have flown with a couple of long haul company before including American Airlines but we can honestly say we had a great experience on BA and they knocked the spots of the rest (not flow with emeritus yet)
I can't fault them, Great service, canny food with drinks served all flight long and a great entertainment system as well as good seats. We fly economy and found it great never mind if we had upgraded.

We are flying with BA the last 7 years from Athens to New York,as BA has a lot of flights &options in this itenary. Our connection flight from London to New York was too short (1 1/2 hour) and with 1 hour delay departure from Athens, our flight arrived to London just 30 min.,before the departure to New York.We were sure that we will lose our flight but getting out of the airplane, there was an unexpected surprise:there were 5-6 persons of BA stuff, waiting the passengers with too short connections to USA with our names on labels and they took us with a small van to an empty security control and quickly drived us to the waiting for departure airplane. When we got in and be seated, the doors closed immediately and the plane took off.In this way we did not lose our flight,BA proved that is well organised and our arrival in JFK was on time scheduled.BA had done the best with this effort.
Upon arrival in JFK,we knew in advance that our luggages could not arrive,so we went directly to the BA offices and they assured us that we will deliver our luggaes after midnight ,and this was true..Well done BA!!

Pre-booked and paid for seats 9A + 9B, would not recommend seat as there was no overhead air blower and no TV screen visible due to curtain for premium class seats. Also no in-flight entertainment at all - no film, no TV, not even radio, just screen showing speed, altitude etc which could not be seen. Also no complimentary food or drink served and very little selection to actually buy

First time flying with British Airways and had high expectations, unfortunately disappointed. Paid for extra legroom seats but there was approx 6" more than normal seat which was nice but the worst extra legroom seat I have ever had and would not pay for again. No in-flight entertainment at all - no film, no TV, not even radio, just screen showing speed, altitude etc
