“A good, on time, flight”
Review of British Airways

Reviewed March 10, 2020

A family emergency, so booked at very short notice. Terminal 5 is OK, the lounge needs a much better menu, though.

QUick boarding (via a bus, unfortunately) and all ready for an on-time departure, then the usual trundling around Heathrow for what seemed like hours.

A quick flight - some turbulence but not bad, and all the benefits of travelling at the front of the aircraft - a light meal and plenty of drinks.

About 10 minutes early in Aberdeen and since I was hand luggage only, a quick exit

Travelled from Gatwick to Male in late Feb and returned early March. Nearly a 10 hour flight going and even longer coming back but only 1 bar service by the crew. The bar is open at the back of the aircraft but the aisles are so tight now that you disturb everyone if you go there. Also Premium Economy do not have their own lavatories and have to troop back into economy. Seats were pretty uncomfortable as well. Were in seats 22 A and C. Purchased 22B as a comfort seat and glad we did.

I made the cabin crew well aware of my food allergies (sesame), and yet I was still fed unsuitable food. I had to use an epipen due to the severity of the allergic reaction. On returning to the UK, BA’s response was dismissive.

All went very smoothly, I was left with the impression they all know what they are doing. I would certainly use them again, although Gatwick is not my preferred airport.
