““Wonderful way to travel””
Review of Emirates

Reviewed April 4, 2018 via mobile

We visited our family who have emigrated to Perth. As it is such a long journey we opted to go Business Class and this is definitely the way to do it. We flew on their A380 from Manchester to Dubai and then on to Perth. Yes, it is expensive, but if you can afford to do it, go for it; it is worthwhile.
We were quickly checked through security at each destination and were able to enjoy the comfort in each of Emirates Business Class lounges before our flights.
The flight itself was superb, especially the full flat bed, complete with mattress and blanket. Service was second to none with wonderful food and drink constantly being served and even though both flights were long, there was plenty to keep you entertained. Loved the beautiful free Amenity bags.
Our only disappointment, was the fact that free chauffeur service was included. It was indeed a good service but we hadn’t realised that although the mileage limit was 75 miles in the UK, Perth was only 45 kilometres. Our distance was 48k and we had to pay the full charge of $40Au each which was rather disappointing. However, it is mentioned in the small print!
We loved Perth, seeing family and also Emirates and will definitely visit again in the not too distant future.

What separates Emirates from the rest is the level of care offered onboard. It all starts with the Chauffeur Drive experience. I booked a codeshare flight from Melbourne, so I was eligible for it. Makes the whole getting to the airport experience seamless and easy. The Emirates Lounge at Sydney Airport is very tired and is due for a revamp like many of their other lounges globally, but still provides the Emirates touch.
The flight itself was delayed by about 20 minutes, but the plane arrived on time. The flight attendants were attentive without being too attentive.
The seats were comfortable and made for a relaxing experience.
The food was lovely, with plenty of flavour and variety and the beverages options were plentiful.
The onboard bar adds an extra touch that gives you a more interactive experience with other fellow travellers. A great little touch only Emirates do is offer for a Polaroid photo in a nice little card to have as a souvenir.
The in-flight entertainment was fine without being great. The options were plenty, but there weren't a lot that covered multiple genres. I found the Wi-Fi to be standard (but I'm not complaining about that, because I mean, in-flight Wi-Fi for free throughout the entire flight!!! I'd say yes any day!). The amenity kit has the be the most practical kit in the sky today. One for each sex, the male kit has your typical toothbrush and body lotion, but also includes a shaving kit and shaver balm for afterwards, along with a comb and deodorant (all essentials for today's business man), all in Bvlgari!
The only issue with this flight in particular, which I believe has nothing to do with Emirates, is when landed, the aircraft had to wait for an hour before diembarking commenced. This was due to another plane needing repair and therefore couldn't leave the gate. I would blame this on Bangkok Airport staff and services for not quickly using an alternative, instead, waiting an hour to use that alternative. Overall though, excellent flight.

Emirates are a great airline. Even though my flight was economy they make you feel that every client matters to them. They have a vast array of entertainment on board, including all the latest Blockbusters. They are a very diverse airline and cater for people from all over the world serving great food that suits every palate. My fight back from India was completely full and the staff managed brilliantly.
