We almost always use Finnair, it is usually on time and we rely on Finnish staff and quality. The service is fine and the staff is very polite and friendly. Back from Las Palmas we ordered lunch, which was surprisingly good. So no negative things from us.

This was a return flight. After a flight from HEL to SIN, my expectations were pretty low. However service and staff were much better than the outbound flight from HEL to SIN. Food was much much better. The gate staff and on board staff were more polite and helpful. My experience with this airline still puts it at the lower end of European carriers, but it would be a top US carrier.

I have been a satisfied customer of Finnair already for many years. However, in the last few months their service has been badly deteriorating . My previous flight from Tel Aviv to Helsinki in December 17 was late by 6 hours, but the passengers were informed about it only after they had to be at the airport, although the airliner was aware of it several hours earlier. My flight tonight was delayed at least by 12 hours, and again, I got a message to my phone only more than an hour after all the passengers were supposed to be a the airport. Their Chat service in Facebook is terribly slow, they give responses to questions through their site only after several weeks and several prompts, and the waiting time in phone to their customer service reaches often an hour! I know Finns are not known for their social skills or for their fast response rate (I am a Finn by myself) but this is far too bad service for an international airline!

We didn't realize that this flight is a "Holiday flight" meaning that all service is even worse than with holiday charter flights.

As we started from Helsinki, we waited appr. 1hour on the plane because they had forgot to load the food to the aircraft. Perhaps they also forgot to empty the toilets because they had to close them during the flight. Also they forgot to include any welcome package to children. Or perhaps it is part of cost savings.

Meals have to be pre-ordered; very expensive breakfast. Snacks which are sold in-flight were almost immediately sold-out. There are three toilets for the economy class, meaning that there is a constant queue to the toilets (as long as they hadn't closed them :). Toilet queue made it difficult to move the service carts so it was a hazzle going on and caused stress among the flight crew. There is no any entertainment system at all in Finnair plane which is quite surprising.

Worst part is the service attitude of the crew. There was one very service-oriented attendant on our return flight but all others were really below average as it comes to service, friendliness etc. I guess this is just because of the flight being a Holiday flight and customers treated according to that. One advice would be that they should not discuss loudly about the problems they have. It is not customers' problem if service carts are not properly loaded.

We continued from Dubai with Emirates A380. I understand that one shouldn't compare Finnair A321 with Emirates A380, but it is surprising how huge difference there can be in all aspects of the customer experience. Stockholm - Dubai with Emirates is approximately same rate as Hki-Dubai with Finnair. Lucky Swedes :)

This was a flight that once again proved Finnair to be a company firmly committed to its basic mission of taking the passengers safely to their destination. The whole flight, viewed from a passanger seat was characterised as a simple and no nonsense operation. As it was a chartered tourist flight one was not in a position to expect luxuries left and right. The overarching thought - also of many a fellow passanger, I should think - was just to get home in a friendly atmosphere without any complications whatsoever!
