I am sure if my KLM flight from Southampton had not been cancelled I would not be writing this review. However, when things go wrong you get to see how well run companies are! Unfortunately KLM do not come out well. Firstly I have to say they have a very poor website that send you around in circles and I discovered this whilst trying to book seats a few days before our flight.
I am now waiting 10 days for a response from KLM for our additional expenditure to get from Southampton to Heathrow and a night in a Premier inn at LHR to be reimbursed or discussed.
KLM have no visible representatives at LHR and their reservation number 0207 660 0293 is a long long way from UK. So it is difficult to talk to anyone from KLM. Also be warned that most of the options on the 0207 number is for lost or mislaid baggage!! KLM always had a dreadful reputation for lost baggage and it looks as though it might still have!

Transatlantic flight went smoothly, excelent meals, drinks and seat. Connecting flight AMS-HAM delayed for over 2 hours. Return flight with no problems.
Have seen better business class configuration and service but KLM's is one of the top airlines in safety and overall service. One of the few (but the best) options to fly transatlantic from Ecuador

Flight cancelled & what happened after that was horrific. We have always loved flying with KLM & soon to retire were going to get a KLM visa to really travel Europe! BUT after what transpired on Oct 5 - I will never fly with you again. I understand bad weather can play havoc with flights, but how the cancellation was handled afterwards is inexcusable .... What transpired after the cancellation was horrific how we were treated. Not enough space to write the whole situation down - would love a KLM representative to contact us, to tell our story - we'll see !

Took a short flight on one of the smaller aircraft for a great deal, and they gave us a free Heineken once we were in the air. No complaints, great service all around.

We travel out of Bristol a few times to both Canada and ,just now, Budapest, both via Schipol ,KLM's main hub.
This airline delivers on every count, reliability, well spoken and polite cabin staff and the minimum of fuss in getting both in and out of the aircraft.
One minor beef is that these short flight food is just too basic and could do with a bit of inspiration ,
without breaking the bank.
However , this is a minor quibble and we would endorse using this carrier
