I like this plane is big and i have very nice flight ...the crew is smile this is good the food is 50/50 the early morning i didnt like ..i like the services bring u orange juices and drinks every 1 hour i would like to travell again with this company thank you

The flight from Boston to Frankfurt in Lufthansa's new 747 was very nice. Alas, that is where the compliments end. While the Lufthansa lounge in Boston is at best third-rate -- uncomfortable chairs and inedible muck for food -- there are three classes of lounge in Frankfurt, for First Class customers, for customers with status ("Senator") and for the rest. I have been in the First Class lounge before and it is really very nice. However, on this occasion I was sent to the lounge for "ordinary" business class passengers and it proved to be a disaster.

The seating, firstly, is really uncomfortable apart from a smaller number of chairs suited to relaxing, all of them occupied. There is a room with hard mattresses on a floor with no privacy and no bedding. They were also fully occupied. As to the food, it was mediocre and without any inspiration. No sign of any of the schnitzels, chocolates or other treats offered to First Class passengers, but low quality even for what it was .

And the staff are appalling: a bunch of lazy and bad-mannered people without any interest in offering service. One of them was downright rude.

The connecting flight on a European route was a joke: business class passengers are put in economy seats -- the only difference is that the middle of a row of three seats is blocked off.

When I arrived in Turkey I immediately began to enjoy the pleasures of Turkish Airlines: one fantastic business class lounge for all premium class passengers, a sense of service and style everywhere, and a fun as well as relaxing place. Avoid Lufthansa for business class travel and for its nasty segmentation of passengers into those it considers high class and low class. If the airline feels any of its business class passengers are "low class" the best thing is to switch to an airline that does not share that opinion.

Led group of twenty people to Nairobi to do safari in Tanzania. Price difference was enough to justify flight to Nairobi instead of flying directly to Kilimanjaro to justify. Also allowed us to do some things in Nairobi. Group department excellent including pre-assignment of seats.

The flight from Newark to Frankfurt had decent legroom considering all the complaints about legroom. On the other hand the flight to Nairobi the leg room awas intolerable. When the person in the row in front of us put their seat back they were in my face virtually as I do not like to put the seat back.

On both flights the interactive entertainment, especially movie selection, was excellent. Brought my own headset. If you do so, you will need an adapter plugs as one of the planes has a two prong jack for the head sets.

Service aboard the flights was good and the flights were punctual.

Only bad part was the long layover in Frankfurt--seven hours and the interminable walk between the terminals

As usual the crew was not happy operating Cairo destination, some aggressive attitude as usual, the big flop i would say is about the food!
i ordered a special meal and i did not get it, the crew start serving meals from the beginning of the airplane till the end of it, and as it's a fully booked flight when they reached the last seats of the plane there was only vegetarian pasta available !
i wish i could really took a picture of the miserable meal. it contains obviously a bad smelly pasta with red sauce, the salad looks and taste not fresh specially lettuces and the olive despite it's sliced but still can find the rest of the crashed seeds inside the salad which hurts my teeth big time!
overall i choose Lufthansa usually for its good flight connections through europe, but if i have another choice i would not recommend them due to the unfriendly crew and bad food selection and quality.

No travel pack aside from blanket and pillow (no tooth brush or extra's) minimum food entertainment with dis-functioning devices. narrow and uncomfortable seats
Service not smiling and not helpful.
One of the worse service on long haul I ever did.
All this for a price on the highest range even in economy with minimum miles reward!!!
To be avoided if possible....
