I have to give Montenegro Air a couple of stars since they did get us safely to our destination. But their customer service was terrible. First, we found out at checkin that we would have to pay an additional 50 euros because we had one small additional piece of luggage. Yes, we should have read the fine print. But Montenegro Air is not advertised as an extreme discount airline line like EasyJet or Ryanair, and we were already paying 100 euros /ticket for a short, one-hour flight. So I guess we got fooled. But what really bugged us was that when we were ready to pay the 50 euro penalty we were told to go pay at the Montenegro office at the other side of the terminal. And when we got to the Montenegro office, no one was there. So we returned to the checkin counter and were told brusquely that the person who would take our money would be there "in 5 minutes". And we couldn't get our passports back until we paid the extra fee. 30 minutes later, even after getting a helpful airport official to call the Montenegro office to try to bring some employee to their service desk– there was still no one at the Montenegro desk. And now it's time to board our flight. Finally upon appealing to yet another Montenegro employee, someone was recruited to take our money and after paying the extra fee we were gruffly given our boarding passes (and our passports) and allowed to go to the gate. Perhaps for some this counts as acceptable customer service, but we will definitely be flying any other airline if we possibly can in the future.
