My mother was a passenger on flight QF20 on January 27, 2025, scheduled for 19:20. Unfortunately, the flight was delayed by 6 hours, but passengers were only informed of a 2-hour delay. As a result, my mother, a senior citizen traveling alone, had to wait from 4 PM until the flight finally departed at 10:20 PM.
To make matters worse, the airline only provided one meal, citing issues with the plane. This is unacceptable. Considering the cost of your tickets, which are not cheap and were not part of any promotion, this level of service is extremely disappointing.

I originally booked a flight from Sydney to Port of Airlie.
I changed this booking from Sydney to Hamilton Island to be able to join an afternoon cruise to experience the Whitehaven beach. A must see for us for our honeymoon.
So we paid that money to make this amendement and live the experience of a lifetime.

Thanks to Qantas this will never happen: the flight had to land in Brisbane for an issue and we will arrive in Hamilton island with over 2 hours and half of delay.
This will prevent us to:
1. Live our whitehaven beach experience
2. Get, via the cruise boat, to Airlie Beach where we are sleeping tonight.

I demanded a partial refund as at this point the money we paid to change destination was useless and Qantas is to blame for this. THEY NEVER BOTHER TO REPLY.

I also would like to point out the total lack of empathy of the staff at the desk in Brisbane near gate 23.

We are overall deeply disappointed with the way Qantas handled the disservice and we do not recommend it AT ALL

this was a multi leg flight, going from LHR to Amman, then Amman to Bangkok and back to aus.

Flight to Amman cancelled due to missiles - fair enough, had to have many conversations to get Qantas to also cancel leg out of Amman - after all if you can not fly in how can you be there to fly out.

Eventually given options as we booked with points - cancel whole of the rest or just the 2 legs. I asked to find out how much the return of points and money was so we could make that decision. Told 76000 points per person and 694 AUD per person. Fine, went ahead, continued journey. Back in Aus in December still no refund of either. Another phone call - yes can see on system, they repeated the same amounts of points and money refund and said it had not been activated, they would do now. Another 2 weeks go by still nothing, ring again.
They say this time that error in calculation and escalate - we told them to listen to the recorded conversations.

Eventually get 50000 points per person and no money - more phone calls. Then email saying closing query as all done (but nothing changed). More phone calls, told will look into it again.

Then see we get 380 aus per person - almost HALF. Ring again they just say it was an error the first 2 times and that is that...

I think this is dreadful service - one they need to honour what they say as we made decisions based on that. Secondly should not have to repeatedly ring and chase.

SO much for rewarding frequent flyers, will use other airlines in future where we can.

Bumped from seat, delays, delays, lies and more delays.

I flew from Sydney to Melbourne for a weekend away. On my Melbourne bound journey I was bumped from my seat (full paying business class fare) to economy to allow for a Qantas employee who was on the clock (working) to fly business. I was told 10 minutes before departure. What poor management decisions lead an organisation to make such decisions? Bizarre.

On my return flight from Melbourne to Sydney the flight was delayed 2 times. I was told it was because of a storm front. Other flights to Sydney and Coffs Harbour took off from Melbourne before, at the time of and after my original flight’s time. So the weather reason was a blatant lie.

I find the signs all around Qantas and the airport demanding respectful treatment if it’s staff and employees an offence. Customer are treated with disrespect, unprofessionalism and dishonesty and expected to walk away with a smile and accept it.

Qantas is awful. It is dying. Do not choose this airline. Do not be fooled by its slick ads and marketing. Qantas does not deserve this country’s loyalty.

I hope it is eaten up by another airline and is shown how to actually run and treat its customers.

Travelled with family to l LA . Seats were super squashy and uncomfortable.. Some of the chairs were broken like the one son sat on as it didnt recline. while we were offered a different seat for him it meant spilting the family up. So he would of been sitting off by himself, . we paid or these seats to.. so putting the family together in different seats would of been better then what they offered..
Also traveling with a child with food sensory and Asd.. The airline doesn't offer special food for kids that have food issues.. Even though i was told when i booked they would put an order in. The lovely hostess Debra did an amazing job of trying to accommodate my daughters' needs with what they had on board.. I also packed 2 min noodles and snacks which helped out to . esp on 15 hour flight.. i think the airline needs to add this dietary requirement to the food lists.. Like slice apples.. watermelon cups.. Plaine bread rolls dinner rolls with no seeds or butter etc depending on what sensory your child has..Food for adults on board with ok.. average.

on way over flight was delayed like 5 hours.. which meant we sat at airport for enternite as well
