It’s necessary to separate my review in two sections, one for the flight itself (quite good) and one for the rest of the journey (before and after the flight). First the flight itself, which is positive.

The flight was very nice, we had great seats, all went well and the service was fine. Also, I believe this was the only direct Bordeaux to Seville flight, but to be honest it was some time ago when I booked to definitely confirm this. I believe this was the case which made the flight very convenient and attractive to us. Cost was certainly fair also.

The problems we had were mainly in Bordeaux prior to the flight. Ryanair and EasyJet are both in an adjacent part of the airport. This was close to a disaster to be honest. They do not allow baggage checkin prior to 2 hours before the flight. We had arrived early to ensure time for security, etc. There is NO bathroom in the building until one goes through security. I had to return to the main airport to use the bathroom. Ridiculous to say the least.

Second, the organization of Ryanair to handle the crush of passengers was terrible. There was no pre-boarding organization of the boarding queues, assistance to the passengers, etc. In fact, they did nothing to organize the passengers waiting and then they insisted on establishing the queues after the fact. All in all, very amateurish.

This also impacted how to respond to the speed boarding we had paid for. It was just a scrum getting to the front, we did not enjoy this at all.

Will I fly Ryanair again? Perhaps, but I will look very, very carefully at the reviews, costs, etc and consider all of them together. The old adage of you get what you play for is very true.

So, a balanced story in the end. Very good flight once we boarded, but generally dismal before. On arrival in Seville was fine by the way, our luggage arrived, etc.

One last comment, there was quite a walk to the plane itself, it was not near the airport proper. We didn’t have any problem, but if someone is not mobile, they might have a problem. I recognize part of this is the airport infrastructure and not Ryanair, but at that point it didn’t matter. It was a poor experience.

Never ever again . 4 hours flying with our knees up in our face , no leg room whatsoever seats are dead straight thus producing my worst ever flying experience. Added to this was the blinding bright yellow back to the seats in front the continues selling of ‘ hot meals ‘ cigarettes drink and scratch cards . Then when the plane lands the terrible music and narration announcing that we have arrived OMG NEVER EVER AGAIN .
I would rather pay an extra €100 than endure such a horrible flight again .

We booked a flight from Athenes to Santorini in june 2018,and we had to fly just a couple of days after their boarding rules changed. The new rules impose to all passengers to board online at least two hours before take off, or else they have to pay a 50 euros fine. First of all, the real fee is 65 euros and it is charged by à desk clerk of the airport, who has nothing to do with Ryanair. Secondly, for internal flights, the boarding time is less than 2 hours. The flights aren't even announced on the airport boards two hours before the flight. So when finally the check in is open, you get too late the information that you need to do the check in online first. Other than that, some people might not speak english or might not read the small letters from the email the company sends about the compulsury nature of the online check in. Other people might not have access to the internet or simply don't have the skills to register online, like older people, for example. Other flying companies allow their customers to check in online up to 30 minutes before the flight and don't make it obligatory. Even more outrageous is the fact that passengers are fined for not having done the company's job: it is the company's clerk job to process the check in, not the customers'! If passengers accept To help the company by doing the check in themselves online, that's fine, but being fined if they don't do it is a disgusting and unjustified form of theft. Many people were scamed this way!! So better stay away from Ryanair thieves!

Flight was only a little delayed so that was good. They came along asking what we wanted to eat and drink but had not supplied us with menus so didn't know what was on offer. Similarly for the duty free - no brochure so didn't know what they had! No-one seemed to be buying much as a result of this. Embarkation and disembarkation was efficient.

We never before flew with Ryanair. We had a very pleasant flight The hostesses were very attentive and went around several times with the trolley. We had no delays going or coming back. We had pre-booked our seats and they were very comfortable.
