Very professional airline which does it job as it should be. Friendly staff in the cabine as in the cockpit. Meal was "ok" but you do not fly in order to have a fine diner.
Some delays on the way to Lisbon, but not due to the airlines. Professional information.

In my eyes TAP should not be part of Star Alliance. TAP doesnt meet the star alliance level on any parameters. Examples: Poor hotline (both mail and phone), cabin design and cleanliness, gold card benefits etc. TAP is a discount airline company.

On February 7th. we had a flight from Lisbon to Funchal . It was stomry and all flights to Madeira were canceled. We were given a good hotel in Lisbon + 3 meals. The day after we flew and we got there in the evening - Tap did everything for us.
We flew back on the 15th. - Excellent flight

This was part of our package vacation. Was worried at first as our travel agency told us not to expect any meal or beverage service. We ate before boarding and then find that we had 2 meal and beverage service. Surprised and happy about this. The flight was great, all the cabin crew were courteous. Our airplane still had movies to chose from and we had blankets and pills. All supplied to passenger for free. Not like North American airlines were you have to pay for everything.

I’ve never flown TAP before, although fly regularly for work reasons, flew TAP Business Class from London via Lisbon to São Paulo. The first leg was fine from London to Lisbon, but the second leg just seemed a disaster. A fairly old plane, first 2 of the seats were broken, so some musical chairs to ensure couples could sit together and single travellers we next to a broken seat.

The flight down was fairly then unspectacularly, found the service very basic, arriving in São Paulo only to find my luggage never made the second leg, even with a 2 hour 30 stop over in Lisbon. All email communication informing me about the progress of my luggage was only in Portuguese, and even the updates were minimal. Compared to all the airlines I’ve so far flown comparing the Business Class, I would put this airline closer to the bottom of the list. For long haul trips, only if I have to.
