It only gets worse. Smaller seats, less knee room, uncomfortable, etc. Did I menion smaller and smaller seats? Charge high prices for everything. The passengers are crammed together so the airline can charge extra for a few seats. Food is dried out ugh. No doubt it all could be worse, but traveling by air these days is awful.

The flight although 11 hours was pleasant. TV all the way, many choices of movies and other series. Early morning flight from Newark. Most reasonable rate as soon as the time period came up on the calendar so it could be booked. We took the night flight back with a two hr stop over. The return flight was quiet and we were able to sleep.

Very recently I made a trip to Columbus, OH, the aircraft coming to Great Falls from Denver suffered mechanical issues and was delayed about 3 1/2 hours. United worked with the customers to get people to their destinations, some were rerouted through Delta, I chose to wait for the later flight and United put me (and several others) up in a hotel (Radisson, it was very nice), gave us food vouchers and transportation to and from the hotels. All I can say is that they kept us very well informed and definitely made every attempt to make us as comfortable as possible. I certainly fly with them again.

United just doesn't get that all travelers must be treated like humans and that frequent travelers deserve just a little extra attention. The crews were great on all legs of this trip, very good. United, however, misses much. One leg advertised with email and online messages along with the display at the gate that personal device entertainment was available. Even sent a message for us to review the movies that were available. But there was no entertainment and no announcement as to why.

In this day and age, the fact that everything went smoothly, the service was good, the plane clean and comfortable, is commendable.
