The flight was fine and the service was average, although some of the staff were very helpful. I've taken this flight many times over a number of years and on more than one occasion, the flight was delayed and their boarding procedure is so cumbersome. It also seems that there are a lot of senior flight attendants on this route and I was told that they take this flight so they can complete their flying quota (approx. 2 flights) for the month so some of them seem quite disinterested and go through the motions like robots. Also, once the flight is airborne, in the economy section they don;t offer a meal service till almost after 8 hours. Also, they allow only 1 bag and you have to pay $100 for an additional bag whereas Jet Airways, Air India and other all offer two bags in economy for free. It's amazing that US airlines need to learn from other international carriers in terms of offering amenities and service. Travel only if you get a good deal.

Sometimes, there just aren't many options and we end up on United which seems to fly everywhere. The gate agents and flight attendants were competent, they just didn't seem like they wanted to be there. I wiped down the arm rests and tray and paid special attention to the tray as there was some sticky stuff left over from the last traveler or two. At least this was a relatively short flight.

I can't speak for other United subcontractors but the flights I have taken out of Houston via Mesa Airlines has been a great experience. I have flown with them twice a month for last few months with no complaints. Keep up the great job !!!!

I am 4'10" and weigh 115 lbs. Seating for me was OK but taller people had their knees against the seatback in front of them, Seats are not well padded. Boarding left much to be desired. ( New system ) You pay $7 if you want to view seatback entertainment. They do give a soft drink and tiny bag of pretzels free of charge.
