Consistently terrible customer service both off and on the plane. It feels like the United staff genuinely can’t stand their jobs and the only way for them to feel superior is to be rude and condescending to customers. Food is (also consistently) absolutely disgusting. Will never fly them again.
You remember that scene in Jurassic Park when Jeff Goldblum looks at the huge pile of (expletive deleted) and says, "that's a huge pile of (expletive deleted)." Well United airlines is that same pile of (expletive deleted). It's hard to see at first, but then the similarities really start to show the longer you have any exposure to this airline.
We were victims of the IT outage with a last minute canceled flight. I called and spoke with Sandra at United Customer Service. She was amazingly pleasant and knowledgeable. With all of the canceled flights, I'm sure she was encountering less than polite customers with an extremely high call volume. Her positive and can-do attitude sure saved the day!
United Airlines cancelled flights because they couldn’t get into a gate at their HUB. They flew an empty plane back to Denver. Seriously?!? This ruined our family vacation as two of our family members couldn’t get to Florida in time for our cruise.
I would say…do NOT fly United unless it’s from a major HUB. Then you might have luck making it to your destination.
