“Horrible and terrible experience of Sri Lankan Airlines”

SORRY! I didn't know that I was waiting in a fish market. Sri lankan airlines is an absolute nightmare for families who tend to have a family time in the plane, while they make us wait in the longest check-in queue I have ever seen. Even when they had 3 counters but were still using a single counter which took more than 50 minutes of every passenger's time. Now when I was at the boarding gate I found out that the flight ✈️ UL192 was late. They delayed our flight by 2 hours and then tell us that its been cancelled due to technical reasons🙄🙄 This is my hereby worst flight experience NEVER TRAVEL WITH SRI LANKAN AIRLINES.

Following a technical issue on the plane which meant I had no in-flight entertainment for 11 hours I contacted customer services, as instructed by the flight crew. I received the automatic reply, meaning my email has been received, however have had no response in over 3 months despite constantly chasing/following up. Unacceptably poor customer service. Would not recommend

Two part flight starting in the Maldives to Colombo and then onwards to Heathrow, all on the same plane but we did have to get off and board again.
The original flight was delayed due to maintenance issues we were told, and of course this delayed the next flight onwards to London.
A330-30 in generally good condition except many people complained about inflight entertainment screens not working well. Mine froze four times during the flight.
Crew were not the most friendly unlike my previous five flights with the airline this year so far.
Food was acceptable and we even got offered a hot meal on the short hop from the Maldives to Sri Lanka.
Final delay was just under an hour so we did make up some time.

I found this airline to be completely inadequate. We boarded the plane late although everyone was in the departure lounge. Once boarded we were left to sit on the plane for 1.5 hours without so much as an explanation or apology. Once air bound the onboard entertainment screens did not work and no member of the cabin crew seemed to be interested. The food service was haphazard and the food inedible with only one drink offer made with a very limited choice. The cabin crew were impolite and off hand with not so much as a smile. I was completely dissatisfied with the whole experience and will definitely not be using that airline again at any price.

I flew with SriLankan Airlines on the 23rd of September from London Heathrow to Colombo. Although the flight was delayed and we took off at 10:30 PM instead of the scheduled 9:30 PM, the overall experience was very smooth.
The in-flight entertainment system was a bit faulty, with some issues and jumps in scenes throughout the flight. However, this was a minor inconvenience compared to the exceptional service from the cabin crew. They went above and beyond to ensure passengers were comfortable and well taken care of.
The pilots were outstanding—smooth takeoff and a very easy landing. The food and beverages provided were decent, and I think sometimes we need to appreciate the small things that people do to make our journey enjoyable.

Overall, I highly recommend SriLankan Airlines. Despite the entertainment issue, the service and professionalism made it a 5-star experience for me.
